Join us for this Beginner Bonsai with Tropicals. You will get to try your hands at a Bonsai with Tropicals, a great way to try something new. Tom Kehoe will guide participants through the process of Bonsai with Junipers. He will give guidance on pruning techniques as well general care and maintenance of your Tropical Bonsai. Participants will leave with their own Bonsai tree. This class is a great foundational class for our Bonsai series of classes this year. This beginner Bonsai with Tropicals class will be about 3 hours long. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers. Tom Kehoe is the curator of Heathcote’s James J. Smith Bonsai collection.
Class will be held on June 24th, 2023, in our Bonsai Gallery Pavilion from 10am-1pm. The pavilion is outside so while it will provide shelter from the sun and rain showers, we are still at the mercy of nature so please dress accordingly. Cost is $125 for members and $150 for nonmembers. Spaces are limited so sign up early to secure your spot. We welcome participants to wander the gardens after the class. There are cold beverages and small variety of snacks available for purchase in the gift shop.
