At the recent Adams Ranch benefit for Heathcote, guests feasted on awesome barbecue, saw wide vistas and tiny delights on a fabulous tour, learned about the ranch from Bud Adams, and enjoyed a lively auction.
Ranch CEO Mike Adams drove the open-air bus on a looping route, stopping along the way amidst the cattle to explain the science of specialized breeding. He pointed out resurrection ferns, strangler figs, pickerel weed, and other native plants. Guests got to visit the tree house, and they spotted an alligator in a pond fed by an artesian well.
It was a privilege to hear Bud Adams speak on the history of the ranch. His dedication to preserving the natural beauty and ecological balance of the land makes him a living treasure on our Treasure Coast.
