The intention of this course is to introduce tropical bonsai in a way that anyone with no horticultural experience can understand. Participants will receive all the materials necessary to create and take home their first tropical bonsai. The course will cover basic bonsai styles and techniques as well as explain the necessary horticulture required to maintain a healthy bonsai. This includes watering, pruning, wiring, re-potting, and fertilizing.
This class will be held Sunday, June 19th, 2016 from 1pm-4pm. You will receive a Water Jasmine Bonsai Tree, pot, pruning shear, and soil along with three hours of instruction at the cost of $75. Additional classes will be offered in the future and will feature a new species each class. Preregistration is preferred.
