Held in Balance: Stone Art That Defies Gravity Arrives at Heathcote

This summer, Heathcote Botanical Gardens invites you on a journey where gravity becomes the medium and nature the muse. From June 27 to July 25, come explore Held in Balance: A Celebration of Form, Focus, and Nature, a breathtaking outdoor art installation by world-renowned stone balancer ZOTO (Adam Conard).

With five stunning, hand-balanced stone sculptures carefully installed throughout our lush gardens—without the use of adhesives or support—this exhibit is a true testament to patience, harmony, and the delicate interplay between the elements. Each piece, uniquely crafted on-site by ZOTO himself, challenges perception and invites mindful reflection.

“Stone balancing predates cave paintings,” says ZOTO. “When you see something that shouldn’t be possible—yet it exists—it opens your mind to new possibilities.”

Admission to this exclusive exhibit is just $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 5–17, and free for children under 5. Reciprocal Garden Members receive discounted entry at $8. Heathcote Botanical Garden Members admission is Free.

Don’t miss “On the Rocks,” a special artist reception with ZOTO on Sunday, June 29, 11 a.m.–1 p.m., featuring light refreshments, meet the artist ZOTO, and behind-the-scenes insights into this ancient art form.
