Music in the Gardens: Every Thursday approximately 12 pm – 1 pm
Looking for a wonderful way to decompress. Come by Heathcote Botanical Gardens on Thursdays between 12-1pm and enjoy Bob Lusk performing meditative style music. An hour to wander among the Gardens while enjoying the wonderful background ambiance. It is a combination certain to please. Free with admission to garden. Occurs most Thursdays.
Bonsai classes: Sign up today for one of our upcoming Bonsai classes. We have at least one per quarter. What options are still waiting for you: February 1 is Beginner Bonsai with Junipers. More classes will be listed soon for 2025! Join us on adventure and learn a new art.
Upcoming Plant Education! Orchid Growing…made EASY with Judy Bailey. Unlock the Secrets to Growing Orchids: FREE Class at Heathcote Botanical Gardens! Have you ever found yourself frustrated with your orchids? Are you struggling to get them to thrive, or simply want to learn how to care for them better? Heathcote Botanical Gardens has the perfect solution for you! Join us for “Orchid Growing Made Easy” on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 1 PM, in the serene setting of our Bonsai Pavilion. This educational and enjoyable class will be led by none other than Judy Bailey, an AOS Senior Judge and Florida Master Gardener with years of experience in making orchid care accessible and fun. Garden of Lights 2025. Dates and more information to come
Our Garden of Lights kicks off on Thanksgiving weekend with exact dates and time to be announced as we get closer the event. Garden of Lights visitors will enjoy enchanted gardens that feature favorite light displays from last year, as well as new additions to dazzle audiences. This year our illuminators already have some new exciting changes for 2025! The Gardens is transformed into an oasis of wonder for a spectacular light event. Be sure to add this to your must see over the winter holidays! Reminder pets are not permitted for this event. Interested in joining our Illumination team? Email us and we will get you connected. No previous skills or experience needed!

Bonsai Collection Tour:
Occurs when the curator is onsite,
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Tour the James J. Smith Bonsai Collection,
meet the curator and hear the history of the collection. *November-May. Call for more information or to schedule your groups private tour. Minimum group of 10 required to book a private tour.
Bonsai Clinic with the Bonsai Curator:
Call for current days available
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Sharpen your skills and learn how to care for your Bonsai. Bring your questions and thirst for knowledge.

Heathcote’s Horticulturist or docent share highlights of the plant galleries of Heathcote.

Call us to arrange time for your group to come and surround yourself with the beauty of the garden to inspire your masterpieces. 772-464-4672 #3. Please note admission fee does apply but discounts are available for larger groups. You have the option to schedule this before regular garden hours on select days.
