Wedding Photography at Heathcote
Considering wedding photos at Heathcote? We’re honored you’re thinking of us. However, to preserve the experience and exclusivity of such a significant day, wedding photography privileges are reserved exclusively for couples who have rented our venue for their ceremony or reception. This ensures those moments are captured with the intimacy and care they deserve.
Booking is Required—Always
To maintain the integrity of our gardens and ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience for all visitors, all photo sessions must be booked in advance. Walk-ins, regardless of membership status, will not be permitted to conduct photo sessions.
Photography memberships are available and strongly encouraged, especially for local professional photographers. Members receive booking preference and access to our most flexible options, making it the most economical and convenient way to work regularly in the gardens.
Who Needs a Photo Session Booking?
If you’re a professional, hobbyist, influencer, or simply want to commemorate a special occasion with carefully posed and curated photography—you are required to book a photo session. This applies to:
- Family portraits
- Maternity shoots
- Birthday or milestone celebrations
- Quinceañeras
- Graduations
- Professional lifestyle sessions
- Styled or curated shoots
Even non-professionals and casual photographers who plan styled photos with family or friends must reserve a session time.

Landscape Photographers Welcome
Landscape photographers are also expected to reserve time in the gardens. Whether you’re capturing the early morning light or the glow of golden hour, a reservation ensures space, access, and respect for our plant life and other guests. This applies to photographers using images for their portfolio, website, or other mediums digital or print.
Professional Use & Image Sharing Option
Professional photographers are required to credit Heathcote Botanical Gardens as the location in any promotional, print, or published work. We also offer an exclusive option to waive your session fee if you are willing to share a selection of your high-quality digital images with us for promotional use.
