Whether you’re new to bonsai or looking to expand your collection, this class offers the perfect opportunity to learn the fundamentals of bonsai design while working with one of the most admired tropical species—the Brazilian Rain Tree. Known for its delicate fern-like foliage, beautiful trunk movement, and fascinating habit of folding its leaves at night and during rainy weather, the Brazilian Rain Tree is a favorite among bonsai enthusiasts.
During this two-hour workshop, participants will:
- Learn the fundamentals of bonsai styling and design.
- Receive expert guidance from Heathcote’s Bonsai Curator, Tom Kehoe.
- Prune and shape their own Brazilian Rain Tree.
- Learn proper watering, pruning, and maintenance techniques.
- Take home their completed bonsai along with basic care instructions.
