Discover the Art of Bonsai at Heathcote’s Free Study Group

Have you ever been captivated by the serene beauty of a Bonsai tree? Whether you’re a complete beginner or just curious about this ancient art form, our Bonsai Study Group at Heathcote Botanical Gardens is the perfect first step.

Located in beautiful Fort Pierce, FL, Heathcote is home to the James J. Smith Bonsai Collection, the largest public Bonsai display in the country. And now, you can access it in an intimate, educational setting—for free!

Led by our Bonsai Curator Tom Kehoe, this monthly study group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6 PM. Registration is required to attend.

What to expect:

  • No Bonsai ownership required
  • Hands-on learning with an expert
  • After-hours, private access to the garden
  • A casual, welcoming environment
  • Connection with other plant lovers

This is your opportunity to learn, explore, and grow as part of our Bonsai family. Spaces are limited, and you must register in advance to attend.
