Heathcote Botanical Gardens’ First Annual “Sweet Victory Pie Contest”
Join us for a day filled with sweetness, community, and giving back! On Sunday, October 19th during Heathcote’s Fall Garden Festival, bakers of all ages will compete in our first-ever Sweet Victory Pie Contest to benefit the creation and care of our Sensory Garden and support Heathcote’s mission of education, conservation, and community connection.
Contestants will bake and donate two pies:
- One pie will be sold at the festival (or auctioned to the highest bidder).
- The second pie will be judged by our tasting panel.
- Bring your completed Pie Participation form with you: Heathcote Botanical Gardens Pie contest application
The winning baker will take home the coveted “Sweet Victory Blue Ribbon” —and bragging rights until next year!

Pie Auction / Sales: Immediately following awards
Judging Criteria: Flavor & Presentation (Does it LOOK YUMMY?)
Rules: Pies must not require refrigeration.
This contest is open to all bakers—home chefs, professionals, and young bakers (under 18 must have guardian sign-up).
