America: The Next 250 Years—A Living Tribute at Heathcote Botanical Gardens
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, Heathcote Botanical Gardens invites the community to experience a meaningful evening that honors our nation’s past while looking toward its future.
Join us on Wednesday, July 15, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery for the dedication of a remarkable bonsai titled “America: The Next 250 Years.”
This unique bonsai began as a Cypress discovered at the historic Adams Ranch. Through careful cultivation and the timeless art of bonsai, it has become a living symbol of resilience, stewardship, and the enduring spirit of America.
The dedication ceremony celebrates not only our nation’s semiquincentennial but also the importance of preserving natural beauty and history for future generations. Guests will enjoy an evening surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the Gardens while witnessing the unveiling of a tree that will continue to grow alongside America’s next chapter.
Whether you are a bonsai enthusiast, history lover, gardener, or simply looking for an inspiring community event, this special gathering offers an opportunity to reflect on our shared heritage and the future we are cultivating together.
